Josie May

This is my adorable niece Josie! She was a trooper in the cold outside and we had a lot of fun doing this shoot. She just started dancing at a studio and is loving every minute of it. She is the sweetest little thing. A unique thing is that the necklace that she is wearing were her great grandmothers, so we wanted to incorporate them into her pictures. Enjoy! xoxo

Intro

Dear Readers,
Being the youngest of seven children I have been obsessed with weddings. Watching each sibling get married and always asking my mom about every detail, I always couldn't wait to plan my own wedding. Being a very detail oriented person, a perfectionist and having a good eye for things, I have decided to major in Hospitality Management at Utah Valley University so I can do Event Planning. Here is to my journey and vision of weddings ideas and also a hint of my photography. Enjoy
xoxo,
Ashley Shippen

Cupcake Tree

Cupcake trees are perfect for a wedding luncheon or dinner. They can be at the front as the guests come in for a quick treat as they wait for everyone to arrive or the program to start! At www.cupcaketree.com they have normal sized cupcake trees and mini cupcake trees for reasonable prices!

Spice up your Cake with fruit!

A fun idea to add some color to your cake, especially if it is a simple wedding cake is to add fruit. You can put it in between the layers,a supporting layer on the bottom or mix cut pieces(ex: lemons and limes) with your flowers on the different layers.
My favorites:
-apples (red or green)
-oranges
-lemons
-limes
-strawberries

You could keep the theme of fruit going with accenting it in your table center pieces :) xoxo
